On Saturday the Vintage Aircraft Club held its annual fly-in at Turweston. Numbers were down on last year because of bad weather in the morning and the grass runway being unavailable. But there were still some nice aircraft too see.
Auster Arrow, G-BEAH
Beagle Pup 100, G-AWVC
A couple of Jodel DR1050 Ambassadors
Corby Starlet, G-CCXO
Isaacs Spitfire, G-ISAC, in a nice silver scheme
WAG-Aero Sport Trainer, G-BZHU, a Cub lookalike
Chipmunk from Biggin Hill
The Dragonfly G-AEDU also flew in and was parked next to the Beagle Pup prototype G-AVDF, which is based at Turweston
Other aircraft visiting included a rather smart Europa Monowheel, G-RONA
Home-based QAC Quickie Q2 G-BKSK was doing an engine run. This looks like a modern interpretatiion of the Flying Flea
The Guild of Aviation Artists were also invited along, and several members used the Bulldog XX537, G-CBCB, as their subject. I used to fly this aircraft, which is now based at Turweston, so it was great to be reunited again

An interesting bunch of attendees. I love the Dragonfly, it’s such a gorgeous aircraft.
