A what? Seriously?
I didn't get to RIAT last year, but have often found some nice views at the Eastern end. It's a little further away, but it can be good for landing shots.
It's the wrong squadron logo on the tail I think. RIAT is due a EF2000 from TLG-74, & I think that logo is TLG-31(? Someone can correct me I'm sure). Also, if that's ILA there's always a chance it might be an EADS test pilot too...
It was like a boundary to the last viewing area before the eastern side. Those areas seem to get more numerous and bigger ! Obviously not huge trees but a line of ‘trees’. Just not great if you can’t get near the front.Optimistic Spotter wrote: ↑Fri 07 Jun 2024, 8:04 pmA what? Seriously?

The tailbadge is from TLG31 so Norvenich, this seems to not be the TLG74 display, the TLG74 should be displaying this weekend as well during the Tag Den Bundeswehr, meaning that they're there and TLG31 is at ILA.
I posed that question initially and was advised by a reliable member that it was one demo a day but agree that video shows differently
Hi mate, i was reading on the confirmed list for the F15s and it does mention that it will be a different airframe per day.
These are the two kept for testing, it would be disappointing to have two without roundels, serials and squadron badges, perhaps a question for HoO are they coming from Boeing or from Qatar?
Genuinely curious to what you're referring to here, as it's not something I remember ever ever having discussed at work or seeing at the show? I had a look at the aerial photographs today, and can't find anything at either end of the crowdline?
They'll be new airframes on delivery, but my understanding from our meeting with the Boeing team, is that they'll have Qatari roundels & serials applied by the time they arrive at Fairford. One demo of a solo F-15QA per day, yet to be decided which days will be tooled up and which days will be clean.capercaillie wrote: ↑Sat 08 Jun 2024, 12:02 pmThese are the two kept for testing, it would be disappointing to have two without roundels, serials and squadron badges, perhaps a question for HoO are they coming from Boeing or from Qatar?
One of my highlights of the show, can't wait to see the lovely little Safaris!capercaillie wrote: ↑Thu 06 Jun 2024, 1:25 pmYellow Sparrows are brilliant catch, fit in with what the show is about, an enthusiasts show, exactly how it was set up back in 1971 and long may it remain that way.
Many thanks Peter, just have some big stickers ready just in case! You know it makes the world of difference just for them to look right!RIAT Air Ops wrote: ↑Sat 08 Jun 2024, 9:47 pmThey'll be new airframes on delivery, but my understanding from our meeting with the Boeing team, is that they'll have Qatari roundels & serials applied by the time they arrive at Fairford. Cheers,

Thanks Andy but can you keep those for one of the F-35s!
