Beagle Pup & Bulldog Club 40th at Buttermilk Hall Farm

Post by TJJ »

The Beagle Pup & Bulldog Club celebrated its 40th anniversary wth a fly-in and party at Buttermilk Hall Farm near Towcester on Saturday 12 August. The farm has been a Club venue for many years, with a Pup 150, G-AZFA, based there. Kevin and his family made us all very welcome, whether arriving by road or air. Showers and gusty crosswinds limited the turn-out of aircraft, but we were lucky to see an original Beagle employee – Dianne – who has been a Club stalwart for many years.

Very nice photos of a British classic.
Always had a soft spot for the Pup/Bulldog.

The 40th Birthday Party was an event for Club members and not advertised, although I am sure that anyone interested in the type would have been very welcome. It was a low key event compared to past ones.

The 21st anniversary Garden Party at North Weald in August 2004 featured an 18-ship flypast of Pups and Bulldogs, which is how I got involved in formation flying as Blue 3.

The 30th anniversary Birthday Bash was also held at North Weald and had an 11-ship flypast. I was working in NW Ops then and took pictures from the ground.
