Melun-Villaroche 2023 (updated)

Post by DriesE »

Last weekend we combined the Belgian Air Force Days (Fri and Sat) with Air legend in France on Sunday. Needless to say it was quite a hectic weekend, but worth every drop of sweat :sunglasses: . Stars of the show in Melun were of course the vintage jets, but also the other warbirds put on a good show.

A first selection:

Cracking set. The 262, Sabre and Mig was the shot not to miss but the B-26 and Corsair make a really nice couple there.

Lovely set, thanks for posting. One year I'll make it there myself hopefully!

Great set of shots. The two L-39s and the L-5 takeoff stand out for me.

As I stated in SEMAE's thread of the same airshow: the trio of vintage jets is superb. Fabulous set!

Great shots from a stunning line-up. Definitely a must-do show for the parochial wish-list types on this Forum?

Those classic jets look stunning in formation! Fantastic images & looks like I might have to give Duxford a miss next year to have a go at this show!

Great shots of a great show... My compliments on your work!
Can you tell us more on your equipment ? You must have used something like 600 or 800 mm??

I'm using a Nikon D850 + 500mm f4 (the exif data is available in the photos).

And thanks again for the nice feedback!
