My pictures from the Zigairmeet 2023

Post by Patrik S. »

The air show in the Glarus Alps near Mollis is now Zigairmeet.
Unfortunately the weather wasn't so good on Thursday.
On the show days, Friday and Saturday, it was really very hot and people had to look for places in the shade.
Since the program was identical on Friday and Saturday, I decided to go to the opposite hill on Saturday to take pictures.
I think it was worth it, but I'll let you judge it. ;-)

As always, Peter Lewis took unique air-to-air pictures from the Rockwell OV-10 Bronco

Looks to me that you made a good decision on your location. A very different perspective on the Event resulting in excellent images! :sunglasses:

Patrik, looks like I forgot to comment on your post so will do now!

I also did Friday inside and Saturday on the mountain. Both locations have distinct advantages over the other but I think I preferred the mountain - the warbird shots being particularly good. The 1500ft climb felt like a mini Axalp but red hot.

For information, was there much activity on the Thursday? I stayed on the Zurichsee and saw a couple of Hornets on Thursday afternoon but that was it.

I'll post some shots next year.

Thanks again,
Rich
