Professor_M wrote: ↑Wed 24 Apr 2024, 6:29 pmThey didn't put any list up on the website for the last show until 15th June...
For any other show, that would be leaving it late, but presumably for most interested in the show, they're more focused on exhibition space and networking, and the Friday again more about careers and inspiring school-children, rather than attracting people with a participation list.farnboroughrob wrote: ↑Wed 15 Jun 2022, 7:22 pmFinally some sort of list on the website. I would guess the Turkish will arrive by An-124/IL 76 as last time??

Farnborough may be a shadow of its former self, but there'll almost certainly be a handful of different and interesting types on static display or flying, that to me makes it worthwhile attending nonetheless.

Don't expect a punchy display from it at Farnborough.

To be honest I'm surprised we've not seen anything official from Farnborough by now, I've tweeted them a couple of times asking about participation but not received a response. I should imagine their not interested in punters really but that's nothing new.

Re: FIA 2024
Flying update and static today, looks great for me as I love seeing airlines being thrown about but also Turkish aerospace assets, Embraer, Airbus and Diamond also displaying. Probably another update with Reds, Boeing such as their F15, Chinook, Falcons and Aerosuperbatics as well as other companies probablylynothehammer wrote: ↑Wed 05 Jun 2024, 8:48 pmTo be honest I'm surprised we've not seen anything official from Farnborough by now, I've tweeted them a couple of times asking about participation but not received a response. Re: FIA 2024
Well atleast its a start. Very thin on the ground so far with no Boeing, and very few of the normal bizjets. No F-15 either although it will be a very tame display here. My last Farnborough show as a 'local' ,last one missed was 76 ( I was only 6), don't think I will be travelling from Coningsby for the next one!
Re: FIA 2024
I agree it is currently light on participants, however the 787 is Boeing, we are aware of the two company F-15s too. I am sure it will pad out as usual and be a decent trade show.farnboroughrob wrote: ↑Thu 06 Jun 2024, 9:02 pmWell atleast its a start. Qatar 787 is not part of Boeing I believe as they are also bringing their Gulfstream. If so it would be a bit strange if that is all Boeing bringsAmp wrote: ↑Thu 06 Jun 2024, 9:53 pmI agree it is currently light on participants, however the 787 is Boeing, we are aware of the two company F-15s too. Re: FIA 2024
Hopefully that will not mean an early departure from RIAT and they will leave on Monday at a sensible time.
Re: FIA 2024
Says it'll be on display every day.
Am I the only one thinking this a slightly odd addition? Either that or the Danish pilots have a real eagerness to attend F'boro
Or F'boro might have actually for once put some effort into hosting an airshow with a slice of effort.
Re: FIA 2024
May be a case od showing off the new livery, either way, good to have SOME form of noise, im intrigued by the Hurjet Also, but time will tell (validation mostly, perks of living next to the runway pretty much) as to whether the display gets dampened down a touchJMC wrote: ↑Wed 12 Jun 2024, 2:39 pmSays it'll be on display every day.

Re: FIA 2024
At first, yes, I did think it a rather unexpected announcement - but then again, 2014 & 2018 public days saw the Spanish Harrier and the Belgian F-16 was due to display in 2016 before cancelling - the reason given at that time being it wasn't able to validate before the show, from memory, so european solo jet displays are something that has attended in recent years, even if primarily for the now-axed public weekend.
A welcome addition - I look forward to seeing how the line-up ends up come July - especially what static gems it might attract.

Re: FIA 2024
We are pleased to announce that Embraer will be returning to the Farnborough International Airshow this July to showcase their aircraft in our flying and static display.
Throughout the week, the skies of Farnborough will be graced by the awe-inspiring presence of the Embraer C-390 Millennium, along with the remarkable E195-E2.
Meanwhile, the static display will showcase the impressive E-Freighter and A-29 Super Tucano. Visitors will have the opportunity to observe the impressive power and advanced capabilities of modern military aviation up close.
