FRIAT 2025 Renewals

Post by Sneezy24 »

First time at FRIAT this year, the members area says that we will be sent a link on 7th August to the Grandstand map so we can review seats.

Anyone had this link yet?

So are they renewing FRIAT on a choice of seat thing, or do we keep the seats we have unless offered another , better seat?

Also Wendy alluded to a stand which is a little higher next year, does this mean we still get 'A' at the top?

Latest I read was that our seat for 24 would be reserved for 25. As the dates have already slipped my guess is that all other published dates and information must be taken with a pinch of salt.

If there's a computer glitch just email all existing members with a one liner explaining - it's just basic communication.

This just popped up.

"Dear FRIAT member,
We hope you enjoyed the show this year. Last week, we sent out a survey to the lead FRIAT bookers for RIAT24 asking for feedback regarding this year's show and the proposed changes for RIAT25.

We are now reviewing the feedback from this survey which will help us send you as much detail as possible regarding next year's FRIAT offer before you make your decision on your renewal(s).

The renewal email along with RIAT25 information will be sent out to you mid/late September.

Kind regards,

The FRIAT team"

I was kind of hoping they were going to act on some of the feedback rather than just use it to sell what they had already decided. Guess we will find out in the next month.

Sounded more like we will give you more information about 2025 rather than they would act on feedback IMHO

Anyone got this mentioned emailed by any chance? Asking as we're almost at the end of the month and nothing has been forthcoming as yet, or at least I did not get any. Thanks

Thinking back to how the timescale slipped and slipped last year, something may be through before Christmas :grinning:

An email from Wendy a month or so ago stated that we would be asked to confirm that places were required during September and that October would see the opportunity to confirm/change/add to seating choice.

I assume the cut off date for the loyalty discount will be extended - otherwise toys are going forcibly out of the pram.

middle of crowd line for general public. viewing village has whole area to themselves but we have a big intrusion between the stand and the crowd line. It doesn’t look like the best offering in my opinion.

Yes. 4 foot fence between the grandstand and the public area.

thanks, bloody bonkers layout, i mean we pay allot of money for this grandstand and membership, why can they not give us that whole space is beyond me, whereby the punters in the viewing village get the whole area?

In particular the constructive feedback regarding the enclosure move and the things that most concern you
So we've moved the stand further back than we initially said we would because "Well, there's no need for that" you

But still give us money

The stand is now 200 feet back from the crowdline. With general public in front of them.

Seriously? That is not a premium product at all.

Very poor service to the most loyal of customers.

A guesstimate that, usually, the measurement from the crowd line to the base of the stand was about 30 feet (10 yards the traditional width of a swimming pool)??

And then there is the inclusion of the first class lounge in what was the forward, eastern corner of the area previously given over to FRIAT when we specifically told there were no plans to put a higher value enclosure there.

FRIAT forum should be lively.

I will bite the bullet for 2025 and if i feel it is simply not worth the money then will cancel and just buy separate tickets for 2026!
